Cat Lovers Hop Extended (Honeydew Lunch)

Hi, everyone! Great news! The Cat Lovers Hop has been extended until tomorrow - Sunday, November 1 - so if you were hoping to join, you still have time!

My "Honeydew and Kiwi Collection" seemed to be quite popular during the hop, so I dusted off two more of them.  I will share one today and another tomorrow.


Today's card features Honeydew! He loves to eat so this card is all about food! I stamped the Cat Block (Stampendous) in red on pale-blue cardstock and adhered to a black card base.  I stamped the Stampendous bird, mouse, fish, and word on a red scrap, tore the edge, and adhered. I fussy-cut the photo of Honeydew and popped up with foam tape.  I stamped the food dish (PSX) on a white scrap, fussy-cut, and popped up.  I stamped the sentiment (Canadian Maple Collection) on red cardstock, layered on white, and adhered.  To finish the card I added several black gems.

    What? How is it that I've never seen this cat block stamp before? What a great background for your sweet Honeydew and this cute card. He really does look like he's asking what's for lunch, I must say. I wish my Teddy were more cooperative about posing because I'd have him featured on any number of cards, doing all kinds of silly things. Oh wait, that's probably why he won't sit still for a pose...he has no interest in indulging my nonsense!!

    Ha ha ha!!! :D :D Bingo! Honeydew is asking for food in this photo? He seems really waiting for food! His expression matches perfectly with the sentiment and the superfun design! Another piece of modern art!!

    I love DPs, but I really admire backgrounds that have been made by the person itself. And since you've used several stamps I guess there's not another piece like this around... Super cat design!

    Fabulous card, love the sentiment and it's so true for some kitties. My daughter's two cats got together and opened the container the kibble was in and were both merrily munch away until she caught them lol.

    Had to laugh - Honeydew has that deer-in-headlights look some cats get when they hear the sound of the can-opener... They can't decide between running away from the big, bad sound, or jumping for joy at the wonders they know are held within! hahaha! Another cutie!
