I'm a Surprise Sweetie!

Hello, everyone!  Exciting news!  I am the Surprise Sweetie over at Cupcake Inspirations this week! Woohoo!


We have a theme challenge for you!


Check out our fabulous sponsor, which just happens to be one of my favourite stamp companies: Newton's Nook Designs!  I had so much fun making my card, and it has lots of layers!  I've had this stamp set in my stash for months and I've been waiting for fall so I could use it!


The set is called Newton's Perfect Pumpkin, and I coloured the stamped image with Prismacolor pencils.  I normally colour Newton as a tabby like my boys, but I decided he would be a black cat for this occasion. The fun sentiment, spider web, and "eek" are all from the same set. I stamped the spider too but messed up my stamping so I covered it with a glittery spider sticker.


The patterned papers are from Doodlebug Ghouls and Goodies, and the black die-cut border is from Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Borders.  I finished off the card with a strip of washi tape (Dollarama) and some tiny black gems (Want 2 Scrap). I followed the sketch over at Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge:

    Woohoo! Many and Big Congratulations, Kitty!! You well deserve to be a Sweet Surprise, because you are very talented and very sweet :D
    I also like so much Newton's Nook stamps! They are so cute!! And the kittens are just adorable!
    You have made a fabulous work with this kitty, it looks great in black and so beautiful coloured! Love the design of your card and the fab washi tape is a fantastic touch, you are the queen of washi!! The glittered spider, the sentiment and the web are so pretty!

    Since Halloween isn't a traditional thing here in Norway I make very few Halloween cards as I don't really use them. But love seeing what others make and in my opinion this card has perfect Halloween colors and cute image and detailing...
