Inky Rainbow Background with Kitty

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm sharing a kitty card I made with an adorable ScrapBerry stamp set called Thinking of You.  I made this card to send to the winner of my candy - she has received it now - Yay! I received this stamp set from a lovely friend - thank you - I love this cute kitty and I am finally inking it up!  I coloured it with Prismacolor pencils, fussy-cut, and popped up with foam tape.

I decided to make a rainbow background with Distress Inks (here's my first one, made last month). I used the same colours as before: Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, Mustard Seed, Crushed Olive, Broken China, and Dusty Concord.  I sponged the ink onto watercolour paper in a striped pattern. Then I spritzed water through a Heidi Swapp chevron stencil.  Still not sure if I have the hang of it yet since I'm a newbie to stencils but I'll keep practicing!

For something different, I mounted the watercolour panel at the bottom left of the card - I like this offset look! I placed fun foam behind it to pop it up. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted's A Little Sentimental clear stamps, and I heat-embossed it in white on a vellum scrap. Lastly I added several sequins matching the rainbow colours. Notice I even tucked two sequins in behind the kitty!  Here are the stamps, inks, and stencil I used.
