The second inspiration came from a beautiful colour-inspiration photo over at My Creative Time (see below). The rich colours inspired me to join in their designer challenge. This is the first time I've played over there!

I used My Creative Time's Tag Die Layers to make two tags from vintage-themed patterned paper and I affixed them together at an angle. The cardinal is from K and Company and is perched on a pine branch from Impression Obsession. I added two strips of die-cut rikrak, also from the Tag Die Layers set, and some lace from Kaisercraft. The red polka-dot ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons, and the gold ribbon and twine are from my stash. Here's the gorgeous colour-inspiration photo I mentioned earlier.
And of course my elf Eli wanted to get in on the action so he hopped into the photo just as I was finishing up. Now I can link up over at DL.ART's Second Annual Elf Antics Linky Party.

I love Kitty C's style too. She's amazing in her creative use with all these dies. I love what you've done with the inspiration and using the K&Co. cardinal too. He looks very pretty perched on the die branches (I'm prejudiced because I LOVE cardinals!). the way you've added the ricrac over the delicate lace is just another interesting detail that provided a lot of texture to your beautiful tag. What a great tag for Christmas AND I learnt something new - we have Cardinals in Australia, and all this time I was assuming they were a Northern Hemisphere bird. I love learning new stuff plus now I can use them in my work as well - I avoided it for so long thinking is was not really an Aust. thing. Thanks for entering this in Unstampabelles.
