Santa's Helper - DS4J

Hi, everyone.  I'm running out of time!  There are only a few days left to play along in the monthly progressive challenges I enjoy.  Today I'm sharing two Christmas cards in one post so I can join Sarn in her Rudolph Day challenge.

My first card features an adorable image called Santa's Helper from Digi Stamps 4 Joy.  It's the August digi for their Monthly Christmas Card Challenge, and I coloured it with my Prismacolor pencils and then added some faux stitching around the image. Please scroll down to see my quick and easy card #2.

Here are the other items used:
  • Dies:  Spellbinders Nestabilities Floral Ovals, Nellie's Ovals
  • Ribbon:  May Arts (lace), Offray (ribbon)
  • Rubber stamp:  Sentiment (Plaid)
  • Accents:  Charm (stash), gems (Dollarama)
  • Patterned paper:  unmarked loose paper from my stash

I would like to support the following challenges:

Here's my second card, which I made by upcycling an image from a card I received last year, added a torn strip of patterned paper, stamped a sentiment and added a few gems.  It was a quick and easy card - I love recycling old cards and giving them a second life - it's one of my favourite things to do!

Both cards are terrific! I always love a blue colour scheme for a winter themed card and the oval die cut is awesome on your first card. On your second card, the cardinal image definitely deserved a second life, great idea!

Two beautiful cards & you'll know that #2 is bound to be my favorite! Love the idea of the torn paper to highlite the upcycled card. Really made it look more stunning. #1 was equally stunning, and I love the blue with one of my fav S/B shapes. Really sets this cute image off to a Perfect T!. That's some fantastic coloring on the young lady as well. TFS & Hugs
