Asian Kitty Thank You

Hi, everyone.  You all know how much I enjoy playing in the Oriental Sketch Challenges over at MFP Speedy TV so here's another one of my Asian kitty cards for this week's sketch (shown below).  Does anyone know a tip to get a good photo of mirror cardstock?  These gold coins really don't show up as pretty as they look in real life.


I heat-embossed the kitty and sentiment in Egyptian Gold (The Artful Stamper) and fussy-cut. Sorry I don't know the source of the cat stamp but it's an old wood-mount that I got in an ebay lot many years ago and it was unmounted/unmarked.  The thank-you sentiment is from a clear stamp mini set from Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps called Wealth in Friendship.  The embossing folder is from Cuttlebug's Plum Blossoms set.  To make the gold coins I used Spellbinders Asian Motifs and gold mirror cardstock.  The gold trim came from Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage but it looks like they don't carry it any longer.  Here's the sketch I followed:

    When I saw the thumbnail I wanted to see this card. It reminded me of the oriental one I made a few months back. This is so very gorgeous.     I have a hard enough time getting a picture of regular cardstock so can't image how you would with mirror cardstock! You did a great job getting a picture of this though and love that cute kitty and the coins. Beautiful card.

    This is so beautiful!! I love the embossing and the gold!! The kitty is adorable!! I can never get a good shot of metallic paper. When I use Wink of Stella pens, I can never get the sparkle to photograph either. Have a great weekend :)

    Loved your card. But I can see that the translater missled foreign speakers to belive we wanted an image , when we wanted a picture...
