Rocky Reindeer

Hello, everyone.  I'm back again today with another card.  This time it's a cute puppy called Rocky Reindeer from Stamping Dragon Designs.  I recently joined their facebook group and this little cutie was this month's freebie.  I had fun colouring him with my Prismacolor pencils.   


I used a wood-mount stamp from Plaid for the sentiment, die-cut into an oval, and doodled dots around the edge.  I used two strips of my glittery ribbon from Dollarama for the background - love this ribbon for Christmas projects.    The embossing folder is Couture Creations Sugarplum Ball - I've been using this a lot lately.  Lastly I added a felt snowflake with red gem, both from my stash.  I followed the sketch from I {heart} card sketches No. 45 below.  I just recently started playing along with them.  Each time you play you get a little discount for your next purchase - how great is that.  Here's the sketch:

    Oh how cute Kitty, I can really see how you would enjoy using this image .....what a cute puppy. Mmmm, I don't think my boys would be impressed if I tried to give them reindeer antlers to wear over Christmas ,..cats are much too dignified for such malarkey :-) Anyway, I love the glittery red frame ....It really adds to the Christmas cheer.     What a brilliant image! I like the fact you have kept the embellishments to a minimum to give your image it's full impact. I think the red glitter matting layer is wonderful.
