Penquin Cocoa

Hello, everyone.  I found a new-to-me progressive challenge at Imagine That so I decided to play along.  This will be my first progressive challenge.  The requirement is to use one of their digis, and lucky for me (and you) this month happens to be a "jump back in" challenge where a freebie is provided:  "Penquin Cocoa."  I decided to go with non-traditional colours, which were inspired by C.R.A.F.T.'s colour combo challenge (see below). 


I coloured the image with pencils, die-cut into a label, mounted on a brown label, and added Stickles to the whipped cream. For the base of the card, I covered white cardstock with brown and added a panel of patterned paper, onto which I stamped the sentiment in brown.  I affixed the image with foam tape and added sparkly fiber, bow, and three skittles.  Here are the supplies used:
  • Digi stamp:  Penquin Cocoa freebie from Imagine That
  • Stamp:  Sentiment (dollar store)
  • Ink:  Ancient Page Chocolate
  • Coloured pencils:  Prismacolor
  • Die:  Spellbinders Labels Eighteen
  • Glitter Glue:  Stickles Diamond
  • Cardstock:  Recollections
  • Patterned paper:  Dollarama
  • Accents:  Glittery fiber, skittles (dollar store)

    Oh Kitty, this is such a lovely card (again) I love the colours in you backing paper and that you have complemented them in the mounting of your adorable penguin who then tones in so beautifully with your papers (hope you've managed to stay with me there :-) ) The touch of sparkle in the whipped cream and the lovely sparkly blue ribbon rally do make this card stand out beautifully.     This is an adorable card. I love the penguin image..he's so cute. His scarf is very glittery and pretty. It's a wonderful Christmas card. I'm not sure, however, that you meant to enter this in the "Glamour & Glitz" challenge, though. I think I'd be stretching to say this depicts glamour & glitz.
