Owl Card by Catherine (10 yrs)

I enjoyed a fun afternoon of card making last week with my 10-year-old niece Catherine, and I thought it would be nice to share one of her beautiful creations.  This is a card Catherine  made for her mother (my sister-in-law), who loves owls.  The image is a freebie from Beccy's Place, which is still available here.  Catherine coloured the image and wrote her own sentiment with Laurentian coloured pencils.  Cardstock is from Recollections; patterned paper is from Glitter Max. Flower punch is from EK Success.

    Wow Catherine, another lovely card .... I hope Mummy and Daddy have put their cards up for everyone to see because they are very special. You have a great sense of colour and composition. I'm thinking that Art may be one of your favourite subjects at school. Keep up the great work with your cards and I'll look out for them. Love Ingrid xxx

    Your niece did a great job on her card - beautiful job!

    Regarding the sentiment for the Hamster - It came with the Hamster digital - I used my decorative scissors to trim around it and I used the orange ink to distress. Thanks for stopping by my blog - Gail

    I love the sentiment on your card Catherine, that's very clever and your writing is lovely and neat. You did a fabulous job putting it all together. The colours you chose to colour the owl match perfectly with the background papers. Great job!
